9 i 10 czerwca odbędzie się Międzynarodowa Konferencja „Sociology – Social Work and Social Welfare – Regulation of Social Problems”. Zachęcamy do wysyłania abstraktu referatu, najpóźniej 27 maja. Szczegóły oraz poruszane zagadnienia znajdują się poniżej, w języku angielskim.

THE INVITATION

TO THE XІI INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

«SOCIOLOGY – SOCIAL WORK AND SOCIAL WELFARE –

REGULATION OF SOCIAL PROBLEMS»

Dates of the conference: June 9–10, 2022.

Conference objectives: discussing current problems of the Central and Eastern European countries, in particular, and the social dimensions of Russian aggression against Ukraine; increasing the interest of young researchers for active scientific activities in the field of sociology and social work, as well as promoting scientific relations between leading educational and research institutions in the humanities inside and outside of Ukraine

Joint participation of students, PhD candidates and their supervisors is encouraged.

The presence of a supervisor for undergraduate and graduate students is obligatory (unless co-authored by the supervisor).

Conference research areas:

• Globalization processes in the modern world, and the prospects of Central and Eastern Europe in the context of Russian aggression;
• Russian aggression against Ukraine: sociological analysis of social problems;
• Internally displaced persons in Ukraine and Central and Eastern Europe;
• COVID-19 as a civilizational challenge: reactions of Central and Eastern European countries;
• A variety of social and cultural practices in the modern society: the way to find its unity or provoke splits;
• The problems of youth self-realization in the modern society;
• Education in extreme social situations;
• The social problems of unstable societies: identifying and finding the ways of regulation;
• The subjects of social problems regulation and its cooperation;
• The information support and media formats of social problems;
• PR-technologies in regulating social problems;
• The state and public social services: work peculiarities and its cooperation;
• The social determinants of communities, families and individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic;
• Health care and health promotion activities of social workers in peacetime and during the war;
• Social problems of internally displaced persons in Ukraine and refugees in the context of Russian military aggression;
• Mental health problems during the war;
• Inclusive education and social inclusion;
• Social work and social security in the system of tools for regulating social problems;
• Modern practices of social work in the pandemic and other globalization challenges.

Conditions of participation: Anyone interested in research areas, as indicated above is invited to participate in the conference.

Working languages: Ukrainian, English, and Polish.

According to the results of the conference, a collection of conference materials will be published (in an electronic format). All conference materials will be published in the original language.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DESIGN OF PUBLICATIONS

1. The text of the article should be submitted in the form of a Microsoft Word file without the use of style markup;
   2. Computer typing should be performed according to the following parameters:

• • font – Times New Roman, main text size 12 pt, text style – „normal”;
  • line spacing – single;
  • indentation of the first line of each paragraph should be equal to 0.5 cm, perform automatically, using Microsoft Word, paragraph formatting using spaces (spaces) or tabs is not allowed;
  • fields: all fields – 2 cm.

3. Volume of abstracts – up to 3 A4 pages;
4. The materials of the article should be submitted in the following sequence:

• • surname, first initial of the author / authors, Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold, (align on the right edge).

For students – information about the supervisor: degree, academic title, surname, first initial.

• name of educational institution (university), institution, organization, Times New Roman, 12 pt, italics, (align on the right edge).
• title of thesis in capital letters, Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold, (centre). Word transfer in the title of the article, surnames, names of the organization and addresses is not allowed.
• the main full text of the article (Times New Roman, 12 pt);
• lists of sources used in the column according to the following requirements (Times New Roman, 12 pt, regular);
• authors of the article (surname, name, scientific degree, academic title, position, place of work / study of each co-author);

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DESIGN OF THE SOURCES USED

1. Sources of the bibliography should be presented in the text in parentheses, in italics, indicating the name of the author (authors) in the original language and year of publication, for example: one author (Nikitsky, 1996), (Dearing, 2009); two authors (Lukshin and Rumyantseva, 2001), (Evans and Dunlop, 2012); three or more authors (Vodyanytsky et al., 2005), (Silva et al., 2015). If another source is entered in the same parentheses, it is separated from the previous one by a semicolon, for example: (Evans and Dunlop, 2012; Vodyanitsky et al., 2005);
2. Sources in the bibliography should be submitted in alphabetical order, first in Cyrillic, then in Latin, without numbering;
3. All sources listed must be referenced in the text of the article in accordance with paragraph 2.1;
4. In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to the scientific professional publication and international standards of scientific publications, two separate lists of used sources should be submitted:

1) The first, „List of used sources”, is formed in alphabetical order, without numbering, in the language of the cited sources, first in Cyrillic, then in Latin;

2) The second, „References”, necessary for the correct indexing of article references by scientometric and search engines; he duplicates the first list in Latin and cites Cyrillic sources in translation (if available in the cited edition) or in transliterated form. The list is formed in alphabetical order in Latin without numbering.

5. Citation lists should be prepared according to the international standard APA (American Psychological Association (APA) Style) (http://nbuv.gov.ua/node/929).

The text of theses should be well edited and meet the requirements of modern literary language and the language of science in which the work is performed. Materials for publication should be sent to the address of the organizing committee by e-mail (e-mail: socio.nulp@gmail.com ). The conference presentation – up to 5 minutes. If necessary, you can prepare a multimedia presentation of your report.

Please note that due to the nature of the conference (scientific), the materials you submit for participation must have the appropriate content – be an independent scientific work and be designed according to the requirements. All submitted materials will be checked with an anti-plagiarism program. The uniqueness of the author’s text should be 80% or more. This implies the actual copyright text, not the quotation. Direct plagiarism (giving opinions, citations of other authors, texts of documents without corresponding references) is absolutely inadmissible.

В нашому сучасному суспільстві є досить багато соціальних проблем і часто йде дискусія про те, хто має їх регулювати, вирішувати, подавати про них інформацію. Останнє зазвичай відводиться засобам масової інформації (Гоян). Питання полягає в тому, як, через які канали зв’язку і у яких форматах подавати інформацію про соціальні проблеми.

Українці впродовж багатьох століть виборювали свободу і незалежність від сусідніх країн. З дня проголошення незалежності пройшло повних 25 років, але ми стали свідками процесів деінтеграції, невизначеності, утворення сепаратистських угруповань (Козловець, 2009). Як доказ цьому, спостерігаємо анексію Криму, утворення так званих ДНР і ЛНР, напруження між Сходом і Заходом України.
