Course description:

The purpose of the proposed course is to present Cracow as a center of culture, learning and art. The richness of the city monuments has been proved by Cracows position on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Most of the meetings will be held outside in the streets of the town in museums, churches and other monuments. The great amount of our time will be given to tracing the memories of famous persons living in this city during past centuries and today, not only of Polish but especially of foreign origin IItalian, German, Jewish and others). showing the connectioons of our art and intellectual ideas with the mainstream of European culture.

  • 30 hours reading assignments and walking tours (visit to important places such as museums, memory places, new exhibitions nad others
